The Ancient Port and Market Town of Bideford straddles the river Torridge about 9 miles South West of Barnstaple. Historically the town was one of the most prosperous trading centres in the land and now with a population of about 12000 has a good range of traditional facilities. It is particularly well placed for access to the coast at Appledore, Westward Ho! and Instow and is a pleasing blend of traditional buildings and more modern developments. The A39 provides a fast link to Barnstaple, the Regional Centre for North Devon. From there the A361 (North Devon Link Road) gives access to the M5 Motorway at Junction 27 (Tiverton) about 30 miles away. Webbers have had a presence in Bideford for many years and now occupy a pretty period building at No 57 Mill Street in the heart of the town centre just off the High Street.
