Bodmin is set in the heart of Cornwall and is strategically where the A30 and A38 trunk roads meet. The town is also served by Bodmin Parkway mainline railway station for regular services between Paddington and Penzance. Cornwall airport with an increasing range of flights serving British and European destinations is about 20 minutes drive only. The Town has a population of about 13,000 and is the focus for substantial expansion which will further enhance the good range of shopping facilities that already exist under the proposed town centre development framework. Not only will further employment opportunites be made available but improved cultural and arts needs will be served by providing one of the largest and highest standard concert and conference facilities in the county. The town is set between the River Camel and River Fowey valleys with their contrasting beauty and is linked to the well known Camel Trail with its destination at the North coast town of Padstow.
